Are you a bone marrow donor yet?

CU Boulder bone marrow driveThe University of Colorado’s Engineering GoldShirt Program is hosting another bone marrow drive to help a student find a match for a transplant.

Christian Ortiz-Torres, an aerospace engineering student, was diagnosed with leukemia for the second time nearly 2 years ago. Ortiz-Torres said he is preparing for a bone marrow transplant but his doctors are still searching for a match.

The drive will be held in the Engineering Center lobby on Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The registry is open to people between ages 18 and 44 and are in generally good health.

The Engineering Center held a registry over the summer for Ortiz-Torres but a match was not found.
